In the 1920s, William and Rosamund Vanderbilt created a splendid winter estate on a tropical island in South Florida bound by Biscayne Bay and the blue Atlantic.  Their storied retreat was named Fisher Island, in honor of Miami Beach pioneer developer Carl Fisher.

Today, it has been restored to its former grandeur as a luxurious private community with the finest residential and recreational amenities to be found anywhere.
